Jacobean Tissington Hall is open to the public just a few days each year – and
well worth the visit! Friendly knowledgeable guides full of anecdotes about the
FitzHerberts, the Hall and its wide-ranging collection reveal the very human face
of a lived-in family home full of priceless antiques.
The Chippendale furniture and magnificent library are particular thrills for
antiques lovers. Meissen pieces are a highlight among the 17th and 18th century
porcelains. You’ll find radiant Blue John pieces too and many fine paintings.
